I'm Michelle - a quirky Maryland permanent makeup artist, former professional body painter, mom to 3 kids, and female entrepreneur with her eyes on the prize.

Before I began my journey toward being a Brow Boss, I had 10 years of experience creating, building and running my own event entertainer business of which I was the face and body painter. I've worked for huge clients like NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB teams, and important consumer clients like your best friend throwing a birthday party for her 7 year old.

I came around to the world of semi-permanent makeup by way of microblading. I saw this trend in the beauty world that has huge potential to create everyday joy for my fellow movers and shakers. I was nervous, but when my favorite tattoo studio had a guest microblading artist traveling from hours away, I knew I had to try it myself. I opted for ombre powder style brows to suit my skin type and coloring. My non-existent (i.e. baby blonde) eyebrows are now one of my favorite features to skip every morning. I workout with them, I swim with them, I have close-up intimate time with them, and now I never ever think about them. #LifeChanging

Friends used to ask me

*"Can you come and do my makeup every morning?!"* and then we'd laugh and I'd say *"For the right price, you can have anything!"*

My research lead me to find the industry leader in the world of Permanent Makeup, PhiBrows. Their incredible training with Masters from across the globe taught me everything I needed and put me in contact with artists whose work, drive, and focus has blown my mind. The community has inspired me in every way, and I am so excited to share that inspiration with my clients. Since taking my first course, I have traveled all over the country for multiple trainings with world renowned leaders.

And now it brings ME joy.

Joy to know my clients wake up to a beautiful reflection and then they smile when they see it every single morning.

Why "Haiku" Ink?

Haiku is my favorite poetry of all time. It embodies the perfect balance of exactly everything you need, and nothing extra. The elegance of knowing that every word is important and necessary resonates deeply with me. It is a beautiful combination of science and art, art within a structure. The most creative I can get is when I am given a parameter and I must employ my creativity within that parameter. I adore Haiku for that exact reason.

Permanent Cosmetics is a beautiful combination of science and structure, art and aesthetics. I must work with a client's facial structure, hair color, existing brows, and personal desires and then tweak my own style to fit within those parameters. The essence of Haiku fits so perfectly with my desire for eyebrows to become less of a hassle and more of an everyday convenience.
