Eyeliner Styles

Each style has a separate price and more information about each style below.

Lash Enhancement is my most popular, followed by Classic.

You can also add on bottom eyeliner as well. Scroll to read more.

Foxy Style

Foxy Style Eyeliner is a soft, smokey, smudgy look. It has extra darkness through the lashline and then a wash of soft color above.

Thickness and shape will depend on each client’s anatomy and desired look.

Some clients will be a candidate for the shape to include a flick or wing. Some won’t. We will be able to discuss that during your consultation appointment.

Video Consultations for Foxy Style Eyeliner are Suggested

Total Cost for both sessions : $875
Wing or Flick : No Charge

Second session is required, 6-10 weeks later. We will schedule it before you leave.

Classic Style

Classic Eyeliner, no Wing or Flick

Classic Permanent Eyeliner is applied through the lashline and then slightly above depending on the client’s desired thickness. Only the color Black can be used for Classic eyeliner.

This is a solid line eyeliner. Depending on your eyelid

Video Consultation Appointment is Suggested in advance.

Total Cost for both sessions (no wing) : $850
Add on Wing or Flick : +$125 at First Appointment

Second session is required, 6-8 weeks later. We will schedule it before you leave.

Classic + Wing

Classic eyeliner with wing by maryland DC DMV artist Haiku Ink

Classic Eyeliner + Wing/Flick/Wedge

Video Consultation Appointment is Required in advance.

Total Cost for both sessions : $975

Second session is required, 6-8 weeks later. We will schedule it before you leave.

Suggested Consultation Appointment.

Eyeliner wings are not for everyone and are totally dependent on each person’s natural anatomy. I can’t even tell you from photos or a video call if you are a good candidate, I can only tell you that in person at your eyeliner appointment.

Lash Line Enhancement

Lash Line Enhancement Eyeliner is a super subtle darkening of the lashline, top and/or bottom. It is no higher than the top most lash and does not extend into the waterline or mucous membrane of the eye.

It is similar to the makeup technique called “tight lining” that was made famous by Bobbi Brown in the 2000’s. It makes your eyelash base look darker and fuller, with or without mascara.

It frames the eye subtly without looking like MAKEUP.

Appointments are quick and healing is fast. Discomfort is minimal and usually just one appointment is necessary.

A $175, 6-10 week touchup may be desired by some clients, especially if they have sensitive skin or did not comply with the Pre-Care instructions.

In Person Consultation is NOT Mandatory. You may schedule this appointment directly online if desired.

Lash Line Enhancement Top : $675
Lash Line Enhancement Bottom : $475
Top and Bottom : $1,150

Touchup if desired is $275 within 6-10 weeks of your first appointment

Clients may start with Lash Line Enhancement and then schedule another session for Classic or Foxy style and pay the price difference + $275 touchup fee. A second $175 touchup is often required for these clients. In these cases, it is more expensive overall, but it does help ease you into the concept of permanent eyeliner.

Please remember to follow the Pre-Care Instructions below.

What To Expect

Permanent Eyeliner is a game changer for folks looking for low maintenance enhancement. It is for those clients who are prepared and ready.

I do use numbing creams to help you get as comfortable as possible, however you will have to be in the right state of mind beforehand.

You will need to decide in advance that you will be still and patient while I am working and that you will place your trust in my years of experience and skills.

At Your Appointment : We will be pre-drawing the shape if you choose Foxy or Classic Style so that we can be on the same page for what you want to see. Once we start, the skin will swell and distort the skin. There may be bruising, weeping, watery eyes, burning or stinging, and swelling. Weeping should finish within 12-24 hours, but swelling may continue for 4-5 days post appointment. Depending on how still you can sit, we may finish quicker than the allotted timeframe.

You will also need to be 100% certain that you have complied with the Pre-Care instructions listed below.

These Pre-Care Instructions are not polite suggestions.

How to Prepare (Pre-Care Essentials)

This is going to look like a lot for eyeliner, but this is about your comfort, minimizing pain, and allowing for maximum healed retention.

  1. Lash Growth Serum. We cannot tattoo your eyeliner if you have ever used Latisse or RF Lash Boost. It changes your eyelid skin and you will be in excruciating pain the entire session. Grande Lash, Babe Lash, and a few other brands we may consider if you have been off the minimum 12 months. We will start with lash enhancement eyeliner style at your first session. If you handle it well and heal well, we will discuss a Classic or Foxy style eyeliner in the future. You will pay the Touchup Price, plus the difference between Lash Enhancement and the eyeliner style you choose. Text before you schedule to discuss : 443-878-2654

  2. Skincare : This is key. If you are using anything with any anti-aging claims then you must discontinue it for 6 weeks.

This is a non-exhaustive list of ingredients you must discontinue for 6 weeks : Retinol, Vitamin A Palmitate, Retinal, Retinoic Acid, bakuchiol, Tretinoin, retinyl palmitate, retinaldehyde, isotretinoin, adapalene, tazarotene, alitretinoin, and bexarotene, alpha Hydroxy acids, AHA, glycolic acid and lactic acid, hydroxycaprylic acid, and hydroxycapric acid.

This is not a FULL List and cosmetic ingredients go by many name and change all the time. We will look at your skincare products at your consultation appointment. Be ready.

These ingredients are often hidden in the ingredients list. These products are extremely effective when used anywhere on the face, and they physically change the skin and make it so that the skin will be more inflamed, more painful, bad healing, and poor color retention. You will end up paying for more sessions out of pocket.

Clues to look for are these words on the box and/or website : Lightening, Brightening, Tightening, Smoothing, Pore-Refining, Acne, Clarifying, Wrinkle, Night Cream.

Essentially, if you use anything that does anything other than cleansing, moisturizing, or SPF, you will need to discontinue it for for 6 weeks before any PMU appointment.

  3. Because your skincare does affect the healing and the outcome, please be 10000% honest about listing every single product you use, even occasionally, even once or twice a month, even if it’s a prescription. You will be asked about the Brand and the actual product name when scheduling. If in doubt, text 443-228-8617 and we can discuss what you are currently using.

  4. If your skincare product list goes on and on and on, you’ll need a 2 month break and only use gentle basic face wash (Cetaphil etc.), plus a VERY plain moisturizer, and a separate SPF for the morning. That’s it. Nothing extra. Your skin needs a break before we go in the Permanent Makeup.

  5. You may resume using the other skincare products again 6 weeks after your LAST appointment.

  6. Botox : You need a 2 week buffer, before or after your eyeliner appointment to let the muscles settle after Botox, Dysport, or any other forehead wrinkle-relaxing neuromodulator injections.

  7. Do not use longwear or waterproof eyeliner or waterproof mascara for 4 Weeks Before. These products create a film on the skin and make it so that the skin will be more inflamed, EXCRUTIATINGLY painful, bad healing, and poor color retention. You will end up paying for more sessions out of pocket.

  8. No Eyelash Extensions. You must have had them removed 3 weeks prior to your appointment.

  9. Contacts : Please do not wear contacts to your appointment. Wear your glasses. You’ll be wearing your glasses for a minimum of 5 days after each appointment.

  10. No Makeup at all the day of. Only non-tinted moisturizer, SPF, and lip balm are permitted.

  11. Alcohol, Over the Counter Pain Medication, Caffeine : You must not consume these for 48 hours prior to your appointment or you risk extreme pain, swelling, bleeding, bruising, poor color retention, color migration or ink blowouts.

16. Eyelid Vascularity : Does your eyelid look like mine? Then you can have Lash Enhancement Eyeliner top and/or bottom but any thicker will be torture for you and for me, and you risk major healing and color retention loss plus migration or blowout. We are not candidates for Classic or Foxy Style eyeliner.

17. Milia : If you have Milia (skin colored raised spots) or any lesions on the eyelid skin in the area we will be tattooing, we will not be able to perform your session. We cannot tattoo over any bumps, spots, raised freckles, cherry angiomas, milia, skin tags, cholesterol deposits etc.

If in doubt, send clear NO MAKEUP photos to 443-878-2654 to discuss. You’ll need a doctor’s clearance and safe removal plus time to heal after the removal before coming to see us for permanent eyeliner.

18. Regarding Wings and Styles : If you have a hooded eyelid or wrinkly/crepey eyelid skin, I do not recommend a wing or Classic Style. I can do wings out as far as is responsible, but I don’t do them farther out than the first crease in the eyelid. If you have questions about what your natural anatomy can allow, please feel free to text super clear photos and we can talk about the possibilities. 443-228-8617

19. If you would like Top Eyeliner and Bottom eyeliner, all on the same day then please text to look at the schedule together. We need 2 time slots to have enough time and they aren’t listed online. 443-228-8617.

20. And finally, please keep in mind that I work as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimize discomfort. You will need to be mentally prepared for eyeliner. I do use as much numbing product as possible, but the permanent eyeliner procedure does activate your natural Fight or Flight response. Breath work and meditation can help immensely. I won’t scare you or do any fast or unexpected movements while we are working together, and I will give you a play-by-play before I do any of the steps. Eyeliner pain on a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest) can range anywhere from a weird tickle scratch (eyelash enhancement), up to a sustained 6-8 for more sensitive clients who desire larger or thicker styles.

TL/DR recap : For eyeliner your prep work ahead of time will determine your comfort level and how well the color retains. Follow the above steps to make your appointment go smoothly and have a desirable outcome. Text 443-878-2654 with any questions.

Eyeliner Aftercare

  1. Use less healing lotion than you think. The size of a head of a pin. You shouldn’t see much lotion at all once applied. Less is more.

  2. No contacts or eye makeup for 7 days.

  3. Don’t freak out about the size - they are twice as large and darker after first.

  4. Use a damp cotton pad morning and night to gently cleanse. No soap.

  5. Avoid getting your face wet in the shower.

  6. Wash the rest of your face separately and avoid your eyes. Wipe off face cleanser with a damp cloth.

  7. You may wake up with slightly puffy eyes or even slight bruising for the next few days. This should be done by day 5.

  8. If you choose to use eyelash growth serum in the future, please note that we can’t predict how it will affect your healed eyeliner and you will have to discontinue use 3-12 months before any touchups.

  9. No eyelash extensions until 4 weeks after the touchup appointment.

Whew! That was a lot right??

Listen, I get it. Eyeliner is an awesome solution, but it can be scary. You don’t have to dive in right away, but I promise you it isn’t as bad as you may have it worked up to be in your mind.

I often do eyeliner on young ladies in their 60’s and 70’s who have never had a body tattoo in their life and they sit like Champions! You can do it too, if you really want it.

I am very skilled, very calm and gentle, and I have excellent bedside manner. I am one of the few DMV artists who will even attempt thicker than Lash Line enhancement eyeliner AND I specialize in the Wings and Foxy style (in fact other permanent makeup artists have me do THEIR eyeliner and often ask me to train them in eyeliner). You won’t be finding anyone better to take care of your eyeliner.

Remember, it’s not so much painful as is it activating your fight or flight response. If you can get that under control, then you are golden.
